Yana Hirka (Quechua ''yana'' black, ''hirka'' mountain〔Robert Beér, Armando Muyolemaj, Dr. Hernán S. Aguilarpaj, Vocabulario comparativo, quechua ecuatoriano - quechua ancashino - castellano - English, Brighton 2006〕 "black mountain", hispanicized spelling ''Yanajirca'') is a high mountain in the Andes of Peru. It lies in the north of the Rawra mountain range and east of the Waywash range. The mountain is located in the Huánuco Region, Lauricocha Province, Jesús District. It is situated northwest of a lake named Patarqucha and southwest of Kuntur Wachanan. An intermittent stream named Luychu (Quechua for "deer", hispanicized ''Luychos'') originates on the southern slope of Yana Hirka.
